A lecture on "Laparoscopic surgical procedure (gynecology) / General knowledge, trouble shooting, pitfalls" was delivered today by Dr. Nomura and Dr. Kataoka of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In the first half there was an explanation from history and basics operative procedure of laparoscopic gynecologic surgery, anatomical relationship between the female genital organ and other peripheral organs, precautions on the boundary area, and complications. In the latter half, there was an explanation about trouble shooting and pitfalls (especially, dissection of rectum, dissection of ureter, side umbilical ligament) and high-difficulty surgery (total hysterectomy, pelvic lymphadenectomy) using actual surgery video clips.
