A lecture on "Laparoscopic surgical procedure (colon) / General knowledge, trouble shooting, pitfalls" was delivered today by Dr. Tsuruta of general surgery.
In the first half there was an explanation from basics of laparoscopic colon surgery, port and body position, energy devices and indication of laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer.
In the latter half, there was an explanation about trouble shooting and pitfalls (especially, hemostatic technique and decision on change to open surgery) using actual surgery video clips.
