A lecture on "Basics of Laparoscopic Surgery, Machines and Energy Devices "was delivered.

A lecture on "Basics of Laparoscopic Surgery, Machines and Energy Devices" was delivered today by Dr. Itano of general surgery.
In the first half there was an explanation about the following: the basic structures of trocar, the characteristics and types of trocar made by each manufacturer, the general knowledge about automatic suturing machines and the characteristics of those from 2 different companies. We deepened our understanding by touching the object itself and making comparisons between the different trocar. In the second half, we learned about the basics in regards to energy devices, the characteristics and general principles regarding each type of energy device and the differences between the manufacturers. We actually used energy devices from each manufacturer and cut into flesh meat. Through this process, we were able to compare the differences in terms of specifics of each device and how it felt to use each device.
